I owned guitars but never really learned how to play even one of them. Figured it was about time.
Found Tommy, and I can confidently say I now know 100 times more about playing guitar than I did less than a year ago. What makes him great is he teaches theory as well as how to play. But then, knowing theory is part of learning to play. It's not "what have I gotten myself into" guitar theory, either. It's practical, common sense, "peek behind the curtain" theory that makes things seem so simple.
He offers incredibly reasonable prices, especially for the amount of information he gives you, and the time he spends with you. Classes aren't overloaded and they feel more one-on-one than like group lessons. He caters to all skill levels as well! Scheduling is a breeze, and the monthly "concerts" he's started are a blast. It's great to get in a room with a few others and just jam.
